BASES OF THE SIXTH BIENNIAL 2011 MARACAIBO
Article 8 .- The period for registration and reception of works will be held on Monday 04 July to Monday 15 August 2011, the schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am. and 3:00 pm at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture of Zulia state, Andrés Eloy Blanco Building (area of gallery). Miracle Avenue, diagonal to the Central Hospital. There will be no extension.
The Sixth Biennial of Maracaibo, is a national, multidisciplinary and open to nature and research aimed at stimulating, display, evaluate, assess and plan the development of visual arts as a cultural manifestation. It is also an event to promote creativity and diversity of languages for the benefit of visual art, artists and other sectors of society. The Biennial is open to all those domestic and foreign visual artists residing in the country.
The theme and the technique of the VI Bienal de Maracaibo is free, to allow creative freedom of artists and will be held on November 6, 2011 to January 8, 2012, in the exhibition areas of the Museum of Contemporary Art Zulia (MACZUL), Art Center of Maracaibo Lia Bermudez (CAM-LB), the Centro de Bellas Artes de Maracaibo (CBAM) and Aula Magna of the Universidad Rafael Urdaneta.
The registration period and reception of works will be between Monday 04 July and Monday 15 August 2011, at the headquarters of Ministry of Culture (Department Gallery, Building Andrés Eloy Blanco, Avenida El Milagro), according to set the foundation for the VI Bienal de Maracaibo, which may be withdrawn at the Ministry of Culture of Zulia state, in the exhibition sites mentioned above, or downloaded from the website of the Governor of Zulia, www.zulia. gob.ve, just as it should download from the website mentioned the application form in duplicate at the time of entering each of the works.
Article 1 .- Participation in the VI Bienal de Maracaibo, all those domestic and foreign visual artists resided in the country, creating new works of individual or collective, made between 2010 and 2011.
Article 2 .- The theme developed in the VI Bienal de Maracaibo is free, provided the works are not committed actions against the dignity of the human condition, or exploitation, abuse and use of animals for artistic purposes.
Article 3 .- The visual artists will participate in the following categories:Dimensional WorksIn disciplines:PaintingDrawingGraphic ArtsPhotographyThey have dimensions of 2 meters x 2 meters.Dimensional Works: Sculpture, Installations, Performance, Action, Video-art (with a maximum of 10minutes), among others.
The three-dimensional works have maximum dimensions of 3 meters x 3 meters x 3 meters and maximum weight of 120 kilos.All entries must be recorded fully completed at the time of registration, otherwise you will not be accepted.Article 4 .- In the case of installations, performance, video art, digital art and other expressions will be received byprovision of a conceptual and formal, attaching visual aids that allow better and deeper understanding of individual or collective work.Article 5 .- Visual artists may enter one work for each category and discipline.Article 6 .- The act of registration and approval of work assumes that the artist participant acknowledges and accepts each and every of the Articles of the Rules of the Sixth Biennial of Maracaibo,Article 7 .- The registration of the work will be free and the artist or his duly authorized representative shall fill the registration form, respectively, which will be available for download on the website of the Governor of Zulia www.zulia.gov . see / and in physical format, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and exhibition at different locations. The registration form, you must attach a photocopy of the following documents: certificate of identity or artists, or curriculum vitae of the artists, technical information and photographs of the work and studies on record duly signed and stamped by the competent authority, should be a student of art, graphic design or architecture. Article 10 .- The acquisition of audiovisual materials and equipment used for the proposed facilities will be borne by the participating artists.
Article 11 .- The Biennial VI will have a jury selection and jury rating.The selection panel will consist of three (3) critical visual arts specialists, appointed by the Organizing Committee.The examining board shall consist of three (3) jurors, other than the selection of national and international renown, appointed by the Organizing Committee.
Article 12 .- The list of selected works will be published in the media of national andon the website of the Governor of Zulia state.

16 .- The works selected to participate in the VI Bienal de Maracaibo, except for awards at issue, shall be removed within fifteen (15) days following the close of the event. After this period, the Ministry of Culture have the same, without any claim to succeed it.Article
